Stereographic projections in photography, or the ultra-wide fisheye, seem to be popping up everywhere these days. Its easy to see why..

My favorites are the ones that look like planets.

Donald Weber, a distinguished photographer originally from Toronto, delved into the legacy of Stalin’s forced labor camps in his recently published White Nights: Russia After the Gulag. Weber’s images come from one of the larger camps, located in along the Artcic Cirlce and the results are haunting and beautiful.
